Noah Goodman, Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW

My Approach
We all have a lens through which we interpret our worlds, a worldview developed over time as we experience life and learn about our place and value in it. When that lens is constructed with harmful messages, and those chords are struck, we can feel such strong pain and anxiety it can feel overwhelming. We can experience so much suffering because of our relationship to our emotions. They can seem overwhelming, even dangerous, and without end. We spend so much time guarding against or working around difficult emotions that they cause more pain or stress than we feel we can handle.
I believe that learning to understand and sit with our feelings is one of the most important elements to healing. Exploring why these emotions are so strong, where they come from, and how we have developed the lenses through which we see the world dispels much of the mystery and fear around them.
If you feel that you may benefit from working with me, or would benefit from the approach I take towards healing and self-exploration, I encourage you to reach out. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
