Psychotherapy

James D’Aconti, LCSW, Qualified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher
My Approach
They say people don’t change, I don’t believe that to be true.  In fact, I believe we can change and grow every day if we are open to it. My hope is that I can help you change your life, if that is your goal. Together, in session, we can process obstacles in your life and collaboratively find ways to help you achieve your goals.  Maybe your goal is to learn to accept yourself.  Maybe your goal is to reduce stress or anxiety.  Your goal is my goal.  I want to help you become the person you wish to become.
My approach to therapy is a blend of mindfulness informed, psycho-dynamic and cognitive behavioral psychotherapy.  I am traditionally trained in psycho-dynamic psychotherapy and have extensive training in mindfulness based practices.  You can read more about me and my formal training in mindfulness by reading my about me page.  Also, if you want to get to know me a little more first, you can check out my podcast or my blog.

Insurance Information:

Your insurance company may work with “out-of-network” providers.  If this is the case, you might be able to get reimbursed for a portion of the payment for my services. If you are interested in finding out more, please call your health insurance provider to verify if you are entitled to out-of-network benefits. Please consider asking the following questions:

  1. Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services?
  2. Is there a deductible that needs to be met before I can start getting reimbursed?
  3. How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  4. What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  5. How do I submit out-of-network benefits claims?
  6. Is approval required from my primary care physician?

If you insurance company requires receipts to be submitted, I am happy to provide you with them.
